Status on 6 October 2026
Basetao's site loaded on 6 October 2026, describing itself as a shipment agency that handles orders and worldwide shipping, with a forwarding option for parcels you buy yourself. It states that items are stored free for 120 days and that QC pictures are free. Our agent data dates it to 2014, which makes it one of the oldest agents still online. Its Trustpilot page, though, has only five reviews, rated 4.1, and the newest is from 7 November 2025.

Basetao's advantages
Storage of 120 days is the longest free period on our index, a real help if you build a haul slowly from a spreadsheet. Free QC pictures cover the essential agent step. Its age matters too: an agent that has operated for more than a decade has survived several market shake-ups, including the Pandabuy raid in 2024 and the closures of 2026. Semrush shows about 17,200 searches a month worldwide, with France, Lithuania and the US leading.
Why we label it Operating, not Working
Five reviews is too few to judge service quality, and nearly a year without a new one says little about today's warehouse. Basetao also does not publish a fee table on pages we read. Its keyword difficulty is very low, so few independent pages discuss it at all.
Small agent: a working site shows it is alive, not that orders are fulfilled promptly. Basetao's long storage is attractive; the lack of current reviews means you should test it first.
Forwarding with Basetao
Its 'ship for me' service receives parcels you buy yourself, for example from a Chinese seller who will only ship domestically, and sends them abroad. For DHgate, this is unnecessary; DHgate ships internationally.
Using the long storage
With 120 days, you can add a find whenever you spot one and ship once. Keep a note of each item's arrival date in your sheet so nothing expires; the template has a column for it.
Two-factor login
Basetao's site supports two-factor authentication through an authenticator app. Turn it on; agent accounts hold money and addresses.
Converting a list
Extract Taobao or Weidian items with the link sorter and paste the clean links into Basetao.
What to confirm on Basetao before ordering
- Storage: our record says "120 days (site)"; confirm the clock in your account.
- Reviews: 4.1 / 5 from 5 reviews; read the ten newest before paying.
- Activity: newest review 7 November 2025; a long gap is a reason to test small.
- Status: Operating (checked 6 Oct 2026); re-check the site on the day you pay.
Using Basetao with a DHgate spreadsheet
A DHgate spreadsheet that mixes in Taobao or Weidian rows works with Basetao like this: open the DHgate rows on DHgate itself, since DHgate ships worldwide, and paste only the Chinese marketplace links into Basetao. Use Basetao for Chinese marketplace rows and its long storage for slow hauls; buy DHgate rows directly.

If you want a second option
Keep a backup agent in mind: KakoBuy, Superbuy, Sugargoo are the closest comparisons. Status for every agent sits on the agent index.
How they compared on our 6 October 2026 check:
| Agent | Status | Trustpilot (reviews) | Newest review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basetao | Operating | 4.1 (5) | 7 Nov 2025 |
| KakoBuy | Working | 4.2 (311) | 5 Oct 2026 |
| Superbuy | Working | 4.5 (~1,000) | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Sugargoo | Working | 3.4 | 16 Sep 2026 |
Basetao compared with KakoBuy and Sugargoo on storage
Storage length matters most to buyers who collect finds over weeks. Basetao states 120 days, KakoBuy 100 days with a paid extension, Sugargoo 100 days on purchase orders, and Joyagoo, Fansbuy, Ootdbuy and Pingubuy 90 days. Basetao therefore leads on paper, but KakoBuy and Sugargoo pair their storage with hundreds of current reviews. If long storage is your priority and you are comfortable testing a quieter agent, Basetao is worth a try; otherwise KakoBuy gives most of the benefit with far more public evidence.
What would change its status
New reviews describing smooth orders would support Working; a site failure or complaints about unfilled orders would move it to Offline or Reported. Each check is dated.
Old, quiet and generous with storage: test it before you trust it.
